{"id":42,"date":"2011-02-17T16:21:05","date_gmt":"2011-02-17T16:21:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gamadiyo.com\/blog\/?p=42"},"modified":"2011-02-17T16:35:30","modified_gmt":"2011-02-17T16:35:30","slug":"arduino-ethershield-twitterbutton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gamadiyo.com\/blog\/?p=42","title":{"rendered":"Arduino: Ethershield TwitterButton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I combined the push <a title=\"Arduino Push Button Example\" href=\"http:\/\/arduino.cc\/en\/Tutorial\/Button\" target=\"_blank\">button<\/a> example and the <a title=\"Tweet Library\" href=\"http:\/\/arduino-tweet.appspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">tweet library<\/a> example to create a &#8220;twitterbutton&#8221; which will tweet a message and alert my iphone when a button is pressed. I needed to get a Auth code from Twitter to allow the Arduino to send a tweet. The instructions are straight forward and are on the Tweet Library page. The alerts are sent to the iphone because I &#8220;follow&#8221; the twitter account front another account and have it set for mobile alerts. All the testing are under Twitter account settings.<br \/>\nNote: Use a 10k resistor as a pull down for the push button (brown, black, orange, gold).<\/p>\n<p>You will need to get the Twitter Library 1.2.2 and put them in the ~\/Documents\/Arduino\/libraries (Mac) or My Documents\\Arduino\\libraries\\ (Windows). Also, you will need <a title=\"EthernetDNS Library\" href=\"http:\/\/gkaindl.com\/software\/arduino-ethernet\" target=\"_blank\">EthernetDNS library<\/a> and put them in the same folder.
